Residence hall or sharing a flat?

Nowadays, most students have to study far from home, so they must find somewhere to live. Choosing the right place is very important and many families have a huge doubt: should they live in a residence hall or share a flat?

On the one hand, staying in a residence hall is very comfortable. There, you can focus on studying, as someone else will do the housework for you. In addition, in most residences, you don't have to cook and a healthy diet is guaranteed. Furthermore, you are surrounded by students like you, so you can meet new people or ask somebody for help if you have any problem.

On the other hand, it's thought that residences don't train you for real life. For this reason, other options as sharing a flat are very popular. Living on your own or with friends also lets you make your own timetable, while in a residence you must obey their rules.

To sum up, all living options have advantages and disadvantages so the decision depends on every situation. Anyway, in our opinion, parents should let their children choose what they want.

LIVING IN A RESIDENCE HALL

In the last few decades, the amount of university students has risen. The housing issue is worrying more and more people. The most common options are to share a flat or to live in a residence hall.
On the one hand, sharing a flat has a lot of advantages, for instance it is cheaper because you split the expenses. In addition, you can do whatever you want like invite friends to sleep, or go out at night. However, you could have problems with your flatmates and you have to spend a lot of time doing housework.
On the other hand, living in a residence hall is a rewarding experience because you make a lot of friends. Furthermore, you can have the possibility to engage the food service, in which you can choose what to eat and you do not have to spend time cooking. Nevertheless, the price is an aspect we have to keep in mind.
On balance, both options have advantages and disadvantages, for this reason, you must choose depending on your preferences and on your economic status.

SHARING A FLAT

Most of the students who want to go to University have to face this type of issue in their life.

The most important advantage is the money you will pay, because it’s cheaper if the expenses are shared instead of paying only you. Moreover, you will be having friends or mates around you so you will be safer than if you are on your own, and furthermore, you will be able to distribute the chores so you won’t do them yourself.

But otherwise, there are some disadvantages too, for example the fact that you won’t have too much privacy or the fact that maybe you won’t have a peaceful flat depending on your flatmates.

In conclusion, if you are thinking of sharing a flat, you should take into account what is better for you; you shouldn’t choose to share a flat only for the price because there are other things that are important as well.

SHARING A FLAT

It's known that one of the most difficult choices that students have to make before starting university is to choose between living in a university hall or sharing a flat with friends or unknown people.

On the one hand, a shared flat is a success if you perfectly know the people you're going to live with, because if you're with friends the experience can be more fun, but it's also easier to be a failure because of the possible fights due to coexistence. A great advantatge is that it is a cheap option.

On the other hand, university halls are a good option for people that are sure about living alone, people that are going to study in a university that could be out of the main city, or people that really want to be independent, but are not ready to share a flat and prefer to live by themselves. So it's a good choice, but the most expensive one.

In conclusion, each option has advantages and disadvantages, and everything depends on what each person really wants or can do with his or her life.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat with other students.

Nowadays when  students finish Batxiller, they start a university degree and  many students go out of their town to study what they like, for that reason they have to find a flat or residence. People usually  decide to share a flat with another person because it  is more economical.

One of the advantages is that  it cheaper and  you can spend the money you save on other things such as studying, hobbies or partying. Another advantage is that you share the  housework with your  flatmate thus you have more time and it is easier. And finally, you can have a good time with your partner.

Also there are some disadvantages,  your  flatmate  might not help you with the  housework , which can lead to arguments, you haven't a good relationship with   your  flatmate because he isn't your friend ,maybe he is someone you  met on the internet when you were searching a flat . Other arguments may arise because your partner won't let you study because he makes a lot of noise.

I think that it is a good idea to share a flat with a friend, because it might be fun and a good experience, it is also  good  financially, especially in this difficult time of crisis.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat with other students

Nowadays, the most economical and common thing to do when people go to university is share a flat. However, sharing a flat with other people, whether you know them or not, can have some advantages or disadvantages.

On the one hand, you can normally choose your flatmates and  the decoration of your room or flat. Moreover, you are totally free, you don’t have to follow strict rules and you can do whatever you want whenever you want. In addition, you can help each other with university stuff and you can also understand one another well because you are the same age.

On the other hand, some flatmates can be annoying sometimes and, for example, if you have an exam but they don’t, maybe they could disturb you. Furthermore, your flatmates could invite people you don’t get on well with without asking you.

To sum up, I think that sharing a flat is the best option for students but there should be some rules accepted by everyone who lives in that flat so that there wouldn’t be so many disagreements.

SHARING A FLAT: Advantages and Disadvantages

When studying far away from home you have different options on where to live, one of the most common ones is sharing a flat with other students. This choice has both a positive and a negative side.

One of the main advantages of sharing a flat with other students is that you can have your own rules, no one can tell you when you can go out or come back or when you have to eat, you choose what do to and when to do it. Moreover, you usually become friends with your flatmates if you're not already and that can make everything more fun.

On the other hand, while complete freedom can be so much fun, it has a downside too. You must be responsible, you have to take care of everything, no one is going to do it for you so you have to do all the housework and run all errands.

To sum up, I believe that despite all the disadvantages, sharing a flat can be so much fun and also it can help you grow up and learn to be more self-dependent.

Housemates

On the one hand, living in a flat with other students can be very fun, there you can make friends, go to parties with them or just play a game when you are bored, but sometimes living together is a problem because everybody is there to study and the difference of time tables or just the method of doing something can generate problems.

On the other hand in a university hall you are more controlled, and you can make more friends and meet more people but the difference is that you live in your own room without problems with other people and the hall cleans your clothes and you don't have to cook

In conclusion, I think that living in a flat can be more fun if you have good friends there and you get on well, but a university hall is a very good option to study and enjoy yourself at the same time.

SHARING A FLAT

When it's time for everyone to take a step farther in their life, it is usually when they decide to move out from their home where they've been living most of their life with their family. When this time arrives, one of the most common things to do is to share a flat.

Sharing a flat can be one of the best experiences ever, just because you are  away from your family, and you start living with your friends who you've known for a different amount of time, but usually you've never lived with them, and that can crate uncomfortable situations or even some fights. On the other hand, living with your friends means that you have a connection with them in another level, they become your family and they are there not just for partying or hanging out, but for your day to day problems that you can’t share with your family because they don’t live there.

To conclude I think that the most important thing is to have some tight rules  which everyone has to respect: who has to clean, when you can have your friends coming over or even who takes out the trash.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat with other students

A lot of students have always had to travel because of their studies. Once there, there  are different options, one of them being to share a flat with other students ,which may be positive or negative depending on how you look at it.

There are many advantages to sharing a flat with other students. For example, your flatmates might have more or less the same age as you, so surely you will have similar hobbies. Another advantage is that you can help one another with the homework.

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages. The main one is that sometimes the students aren’t respectful with the others because they have different priorities on the cleaning or cooking, so it doesn’t generate a good atmosphere of daily coexistence. Also, if you want to study and your flatmates are laughing or making a lot of noise, you won’t be able to concentrate.

On balance, sharing flat with other students is a good choice because if you establish clear guidelines you’ll have a new friend, someone to share unforgettable moments with.

University halls versus sharing a flat.

A lot of students are going to study at university next year, but most of them haven’t any idea where  they are going to live.

First of all, if you are going to live in a new city which you don’t know or you will be alone without someone known, I would choose a university hall  rather than a flat.  First because you will be safer there than sharing flat. In addition, if you don’t know how to cook, you have the possibility of having lunch in a university canteen at an economical price. On the other hand, sharing a flat is cheaper than living  in university halls. For this reason, there are many people who prefer to live in a flat.

To sum up, I prefer living in a university hall the first year of my degree. Then, when  I meet new friends and  know the city, I will share a flat with some of them.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat with other students

Nowadays, the most common way of living when a student goes to university is sharing a flat. This choice has a positive and negative side.

On the one hand, it’s nice to have company at home, you can enjoy watching films together or simply talk. Also, if you have a problem, there is usually someone around to talk about that. Besides, you can share housework and finish it quickly.

On the other hand, the distribution of tasks can be difficult and finally the house is not cleaned, then you live like in a pigpen. There are problems, mainly arguments, between the members who reside in the shared house.

To sum up, sharing a flat with other students of friends can be a good idea in order to live in company or pay less for the rent. Serious and uncomfortable problems can appear, which can have a negative impact on your academic performance.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat with other students

Nowadays when a person goes to study elsewhere, often shares an apartment with another person for economic reasons, either an acquaintance or another person who he doesn't know.

Nor
mally, there no problem in sharing a flat with somebody, but there are always some exceptions. One of the positive facts of sharing flat with a friend or another person, is that if everyone is well organized, you can share the housework (go shopping, do the laundry, wash the dishes...) with the other flatmate, therefore, you don’t get stressed and you have more free time. Besides, you learn to live with other people, and that's good for both. But this is not always the case. There are some disadvantages to sharing flat. Sometimes you can have arguments with your flatmate because you don’t agree on something or because one might be more organized than the other

In conclusion we can say that sharing a flat with a housmate is a good experience for both because you learn to live with other people and to accept other points of view.

Sharing a flat with other students

We all think sharing a flat with other students will be easy and full of great and fun times. Nevertheless, it is not always this way.

First of all, sharing a flat with people of your similar age can make you learn many different points of view. Besides, your flatmates will keep you company and probably, will end up being great friends. In addition, you can all share the house chores so no one will do extra work.

However, sometimes, this work sharing can lead to a huge problem when somebody doesn’t do their job and it can be even worse if you don’t really get along with each other. Eventually, sometimes can happen that somebody has to study for the exams, but the rest have free time and they want to have fun, but the other one needs silence to get concentrated, so it can be also a problem.

In conclusion, sharing a flat can be one of the best times of your life, or it can become your worst nightmare.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SHARING A FLAT

At present many youngsters who are studying so as to obtain a degree are sharing flat with other students. However, it isn’t an easy decision.

On the one hand, sharing a flat is cheaper and more affordable than living alone. Moreover, it’s a pretty good option for the ones who are afraid of loneliness because they will be living together with more people. Flatmates mean company, regardless of whether the relationship is good or bad.

On the other hand, it is rarely easy because everybody has their own manias which can bother the others. Thus, it’s very important to make sure that you have enough knowledge of the candidate’s personality before making up your mind and choosing him or her as your flatmate. In addition, both the tenant and the lodger should agree on mod cons use and on co-habitation rules.

All in all, choosing the appropriate flatmate is essential. It’s not advisable to leave the decision open until the last moment because then, everything can turn into a mess.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SHARING A FLAT

When students have to go to university they search other people to share a flat with, instead of going to a residence Hall. However, there are advantages and disadvantages to sharing a flat.

The main advantage is that normally people who share a flat are not alone, they live together and they always have someone to have lunch or dinner with. There is also a financial advantage; to share a flat is cheaper than a residence hall. Finally in the flat you have more freedom, for example nobody tells you anything or you can return to your house whenever you want.

The most serious disadvantage is that the habits of one of the flatmates can be annoying for the others and this can cause arguments between them, this can even make you lose contact with your friend forever. Moreover, sharing a flat involves a lack of privacy because you have to share the bathroom, the living room or the kitchen.

All in all, in my opinion, sharing a flat with other students is the best option because the disadvantages can be solved with strict regulations.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat

Once we finish school, we have to decide where we are going to live. While some students think that it is better to make your own and lonely life, others tend to think that sharing a flat is a very suitable option for the young students nowadays.

On the one hand, it has to be said that sharing a flat is cheaper than living alone, due to the fact that you have to share the expenses with your housemates and that's obviously a good option for a young student. Furthermore, the more you live there with your housemates, the the better you get to know them and maybe you’ll become really close friends.

On the other hand, a very clear disadvantage is the common arguments of that kind of life: it is obvious that living with other people leads to unpleasant situations like not having respect for the housework or having undesirable guests in the flat. Moreover, sometimes you wish you had more privacy in order to keep calm.

To sum up, sharing a flat may be hard, so you must take a look at different flats with different people to clear your mind about your near future. Nevertheless, if you are not pretty sure about sharing a flat, you always have the option of living alone.

SHARING A FLAT

It is normal to share a flat among young people when they have to study in other countries. This new experience could have its good and bad points.

On the one hand sharing a flat is cheap since you share costs with your flatmates, by the way with a good organisation and sharing the housework can create a good atmosphere of living. If you share a flat you have to put rules in order to have a good relationship  with your flatmates and these rules have to be complied with and respected.

On the other hand it can be a problem if flatmates do not respect one another and every person does what they want. Normally, there is often someone who spends a lot more than the others and others that  don’t do  any housework.

To sum up sharing a flat could be a good experience provided that there is respect between and when each person complies with his obligations or on the contrary it could result in chaos.

Advantages and disadvantages of sharing a flat with other students

Most students decide to share a flat with another student when they go to University, which could have both advantages and disadvantages.

The most important benefit is the economic one: it costs much less than paying the rent and the bills alone. Its supporters also argue that it's important to learn to get along with the others because we will spend most of our time with other people. They add that your housemate might turn out to be a friend with whom you can talk and share experiences, thus not feeling alone.

On the other hand, opponents claim that living with another person implies more restrictions as you have to make decisions concerning the flat with your flatmate and you must be careful so as not to bother him/her. Moreover, cohabitation usually leads to conflicts regarding to paying the bills, inviting friends and doing the cleaning because it's not easy to find someone to share the same rules with.

All things considered, I prefer sharing a flat not only for economic reasons, but also because I'm aware that living with other people is something all adults should learn.
