Animal testing. C2

Nowadays it's normal to use animals for scientific experiments, which are slaughtered after being used in some ___  experiment. This type of experimentation is legal in most of the countries in the world. But, there are a lot of debates on this is ethical or not.

On the one hand, experiments with animals is good because is possible to find new drugs to cure some diseases, such as cancer or VIH. And it's logical that this can't be done with humans, because I don't believe that any human be submitted volunteer to experiment with them. Therefore, it's good to find new drugs.

On the other hand, I said before that any human will be submitted volunteer to experiment with them, but, if we experiment with animals, do we asked them if we can experiment with them? No. Therefore, the animals can't express their opinion. In addition, they can't tell us if the experiment is causing pain or not, and any animal has is right to live and live free and wild, not enclosed in a laboratory.

In conclusion, there are many views in this topic, and it's a topic that will always be in discussion. In my opinion, animal testing isn't ethical, but on the other hand, I think that if we don't experiment with animals, perhaps we can't find a cure to some diseases. But, perhaps, life is made so that there is a balance between humans and animals, and perhaps we are breaking this balance, using animals to save human lives.

Animal Testing (FINAL VERSION)

Nowadays, there are a lot of laboratories which use animals to experiment with some drugs and other kind of products, and these experiments are legal.

On the one hand, experimenting with animals has advantages because the drugs have the same effect, or similar, for the animals and for the humans, and this help us to find some cures to illness such as cancer, HIV, diabetes... What’s more, the person who carries out the experiment has the advantage of working with animals that don’t say anything, consequently it is perfect to work with them.

On the other hand, the disadvantages are that there are animals which die in some experiments and others fall very ill. In addition, there are some experimenters who exploit the animals and they don’t care about them, they only worry about the experiment and the results.

In conclusion, I think that animal testing is a cruel thing because the animals don’t deserve to live just to be experimented on . It helps us to find cures, but it is damaging the animals, so I ask myself...is this ethical?

ANIMAL EXPERIMENT (final version)

At the moment, in most developed countries it is legal to experiment on animals in order to find out how to cure diseases.  There are arguments both for and against  this practice.

On the one hand many people claim that animal testing is a cruel form of exploration. The experimentation on animals causes  pain and suffering. Sometimes at the beginning of an experiment, scientists cannot apply their researches on humans for the effects these might have. Moreover,  lots of experiments are unnecessary.

On the other hand animal experimentation has become a very important way to find cures, advances and treatments for lot of diseases. Furthermore animal experiments are more reliable than other methods.

In addition, although this topic causes a moral problem for me I think it is necessary to advance and help  mankind. However, scientists should try to take  care of the animals as much as possible.
