Recently, a
controversial issue has appeared: the welcoming or not of the refugees
from Syria to Spain. The majority seem to agree. However, there are arguments
for and against letting them in.
On the one
hand, the first thing that comes to our minds is empathy, we could be suffering
the same situation, and we would like to be welcomed despite causing expenses
to the country. It’s about humanity, we do have a heart and it’s time to show
it. Otherwise, many people could die.
On the other hand, we
could also think that some terrorists will take advantage of this struck of
luck and try to enter Spain. Consequently, there won’t be safety for either
Spain or refugees. Furthermore, hardly anybody knows that, as the HCR says, 75%
of the refugees are adult men that have left their families in Syria.
In short, I
think that we should welcome them but increasing our security system and
control. Nevertheless, other countries need to help too in order not to
increase our crisis.
