DO YOU THINK THERE IS STILL SEXISM IN THE WORKPLACE?

During the last years, our society has become more and more politically correct. This means that they are taking measures in order to provide everyone with the same rights.  But for some reason, in the workplace, there seems to be sexism.

First of all, it’s clear that women and men don’t have the same right and opportunities when it comes to work.  Men usually find it easier to find a job and keep it.  Women, on the other hand, have more problems when looking for work.  This is usually due to the fact that they can get pregnant, and then they are allowed some time off when they are on maternity leave. What’s more, a woman’s salary tends to be lower than a man’s. Lastly, women don’t have the same ability to access to important positions in a job. That is the reason why in big companies, men are usually bosses.

In conclusion, it’s clear that sexism in the workplace is still an important topic that needs to be fought. All women should have the same rights as men in their workplace.

It’s well known that most women have more trouble getting a job than men.  This, along with the fact that many female workers have reported abuses from their workmates, has made people wonder if there is still sexism in the workplace.

In my opinion, it’s true that in many situations there is still sexism where men and women work together.  However, it’s something that depends on the people that you work with, but in big companies where the workers never really meet their employer, sexism becomes a routine.  From the very first moment of the application, when women are asked if they are planning to have a baby- men are never asked if they have any children- to small and apparently insignificant expressions like “ women are too sensitive to do that” or “ they can’t handle all this pressure”, women have to stand superiority attitudes from their colleagues.

To sum up, women have been discriminated against for centuries and recently they have achieved a lot of improvements in their working conditions, but I think there is still a long way to get equality.

The 20th century had a revolutionary impact on the workplace. It was the first time women were allowed to work side by side with men.

However, things haven’t changed that much. It’s true that there are really important women running huge businesses or corporations, but the scars are still present. For example, women earn much less money than men even though they do the same job, and some of them, are not even hired just because of their sex. Besides, the government ignores it just because of their interests. If a rich businessman says that he won’t hire women, the government just looks the other way. The reason is the same as always: money. The worst part is not that some of them treat women as an inferior being, but that some of them really think like that.

As a conclusion, I’d like to say that this should not be happening, we live in a democratic world and everyone should be judged by their abilities, not by their sex or appearance.

Many years ago, only men worked while women stayed at home doing the cleaning and cooking. Nowadays this has changed and a lot of women have a job, but is there still sexism in the workplace?

Firstly, I think there is still sexism in some workplaces because there are businesses that only contract men and never women. Secondly, there are also companies that hire women but, in fact, they would choose a man rather than a woman for the same post. Furthermore, the man would earn more money and this makes no sense. As I see it, no matter what sex you are, men and women should earn the same amount of money.

To sum up, from my point of view, although sexism has decreased a lot in the last few years, it still exists and we should put an end to it as fast as we can.
