A supermarket is a place where people go to buy food and many other things. There are little markets, normal markets, markets which are placed on the street and the supermarkets which are known as big department stores.
The main advantage of having a huge variety of supermarkets is that you can compare prices, so you're able to buy the cheapest product. What's more, as there are so many, you'll always find what you want, since there are, more or less, four supermarkets in your town. Furthermore, you can walk to them.
On the other hand, having this variety of supermarkets makes people confused, because they don't know where to go, since nthere are many choices. Because of people have compared prices between supermarkets, sometimes they go to three different stores. Since there are big department stores, little markets have disappeared, because they can't afford it.
To sum up, as there are several kinds of supermarkets with all sort of products, people are able to find what they want easily.
