Video Games, a double edged sword

Nowadays,the popularity of video games is increasing among people from all backgrounds because today’s video games have nothing to do with the ones from the past decade. You will laugh when you compare today’s high definition games to the outdated Mario Bros.

So that you get an overall view, according to recent studies, video games revenues have surpassed those of Hollywood revenues. However, as the old saying goes, All that glitters is not gold and the fact is that video games have drawbacks. Many people become addicted to these games and lose track of time or care for nothing else. In addition, playing violent video games such as Grand Theft Auto can cause psychological disorders that in some cases can lead children to replicate the scenes they see on these video games.

As I see it, video games are not by a long chalk indispensable and can be easily replaced by other activities such as practicing sport or reading that can be as satisfying as playing games but with almost no drawbacks.
