All the accidents have been the establishment's fault as well as the drinking youngsters'. I don't think enough awareness is being raised, and one of the reasons for the lack of consciousness might all the economic benefits that these kind of activities bring with them. The awareness-raising campaigns don't only have to be directed towards youngsters and costumers, but also to establishment owners like the two British brothers, Danny and John Daly. Expensive fines given to the establishment who allows the practice of such activities would be way to start erasing the problem.

I think the real victims of this fad are Magaluf's inhabitants, they are the ones whose children have to watch British tourists almost naked and constantly vomiting after heavy drinking.
The tourists, however, do so voluntarily. They come to Majorca to drink and have sex and do crazy things they won't probably remember because of the drunkenness, so I find it hard to see them as victims. They already know some tourists have died because of the practice of ''balconing'' and, still, they do it.
In fact, I think it would be a good idea if there was some kind of town specifically built to facilitate such activities but constructed in a way that ''balconing'' would be easier and not dangerous (like placing the pools closer to the balconies). Youth will always behave recklessly, it's no use increasing awareness or banning it since banned things are even more attractive to young people. Furthermore, if a new ‘’party town’’ was built, Magaluf’s inhabitants would be able to finally get some sleep.
